Unfortunately, not all insurance companies are reasonable. Some insurance companies force the injured party to go to trial to recover any compensation. In Colorado, as in most states, legislation sponsored by insurance companies prevents the jury from being told that the negligent party has insurance. This gives insurance companies a reason to deny payment and force the injured party to go to court.
